About Tess Ogamba
I’m a UK-based BI & Analytics Engineer experienced in designing scalable business intelligence (BI) systems, from robust data pipelines to reliable reporting solutions that inform key decisions and support business growth.
I have a BSc in Biostatistics. I’m advanced in SQL, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI & DAX, with hands-on experience in dbt, Snowflake and Tableau, and familiarity with BigQuery and Looker. I’m also curious and always willing to learn any tool that would make me even better at my job.
Although I have worked in data for a cumulative seven years, my journey has taken me to different industries and types of work, from market and social research to research and policy, programme delivery, and then five years using my data expertise to build and grow a digital media and education business.
That experience not only strengthened my data and analytics skills but also my commercial instinct. So now I’m not just good at data; I also instinctively understand how it shapes decisions, improves performance, and drives business growth.
After achieving the goals I had set for the business, I returned to formal employment and have spent the last year working in BI development at a UK organisation, building scalable data pipelines and reliable reporting solutions for operational and performance analytics.
